"Every once in a while, I enjoy taking a popular style of art and trying to emulate it with a Stickman twist. This allows me the freedom to explore different concepts and techniques while remaining true to my overall vision and brand. This piece certainly falls into that category, as wine and cocktail paintings are quite mainstream these days – the skull and voodoo imagery push it towards a slightly edgier and rock ‘n’ roll version of the genre.

As for the actual imagery of this piece, a Stones reference should be no surprise to anyone at this point. Although it had nowhere near the reverence of some of the band’s classic albums, 1994’s “Voodoo Lounge” is a very personal album for me – not only was it my first CD ever (I was late to the CD game), but it was the album that led me to super fandom. Of course, I had heard the classic songs, but it was “Voodoo Lounge” that drove me to the deep cuts, documentaries, biographies, live shows and of course, a dog named Jagger."
